Well, if they sit them on Clintwood's side, there will be a lot of pissed off people and you risk alienating (sp) a lot of people as well.

overall its a bad idea IMO...
Not sure its a bad idea, it helps an atmosphere, but I hadn't heard anything about it. Where did talk of this even come from? (not saying its not true just saying I don't know if it is)
My g/f works with a couple of the UVA-Wise band members and they told her they was coming to play for Clintwood/Burton game pep for Clintwood..and that they was asked by Clintwood to come..
and I agree its not a bad idea for the atmosphere, but seating it is...
Why would you start crying over a band to come play at the game. I know alot of ppl in Cwood that are excited about it. Its not gonna take anything away from the actual playing on the field. A good band does add alot to the atmosphere and last time i checked football is supposed to be fun. And as for the seating either get there a little bit early or stay home. Theres no need to start whining and crying like its some huge ordeal.

Actually,the UVA-W band,although seeing an increase in numbers is still a small band. JIB and PV have more numbers than UVA-W. I'd be happy if I were a CW fan. Bands add alot of atmosphere,and it is a shame that the band programs were nixed in DC.
It is a shame that Cwood doesnt have a band. There are enough students in the school to have one just there is no desire or leadership in the school system to bring someone in to do it.
The school board in Dickenson County made that choice for all the schools if I recall. A mistake IMO.
i think the band idea is a great idea..cwood has never had a band i think it will add to their excitement
They had a teeny little band years back. I went over to see JJK-CW with a buddy,and went to see another friend from CW who was sitting beside their band. I think "Smoke On The Water" was the only song that they knew though [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif[/img]
